Lone Wolf: the roleplaying game

Finallyout, here's the RPG dedicated to Lone Wolf, widely known from the long and successful Lone Wolf gamebook series by Joe Dever.

The game, by August Hahn, the author/creator of the new Lone Wolf RPG, and Ian Belcher, its developer and editor, is published by Mongoose Publishing.

A quick comment about the parts I have already read. Good, Lone Wolf's feeling is right there (take this statement, for instance: "The d4 is Darklord Vashna's contribution to game. Well, not really, but he would have appreciated the pain they inflict when someone steps on one late at night"...).
The game system has been heavily simplified, and it looks more immediate and versatile; character classes seem few, and they feel more closed than D&D basic ones, but they look much more open to wide possibilities (I would rather compare them to prestige classes than to basic ones). The one thing I am a bit disappointed about is the Magnamund Gazzetteer: but I understand it would have been impossible to fit in many more details on each region, as Magnamund is not small. I also feel a lot of information about Darkspawns and adversaries still lacking: but, after all, this month a book on the Darklands is coming out, (I do hope to see Nadziranim class and their magic!).
In general this work does show a good deal of love for the world of Joe Dever, a change I really appreciate, from the coldness I find in D&D rulebooks.
